What is the Oakland Beach Association (OBA)?
We are a non-profit 501(c)(3)community organization in the Village of Oakland Beach.
Established in 1922, the association is committed to enhancing the well-being of our community through charitable giving, inclusive engagement, and a shared dedication to equity and opportunity for all.
We actively encourage resident participation in efforts that uplift and empower, including addressing environmental concerns, organizing neighborhood clean-up groups, and supporting initiatives that foster a cleaner, healthier, and more connected community.
We work with city officials and state regulatory agencies on projects and concerns. relevant to our community, and stay informed on local legislation, and environmental concerns.
We understand that building community and fostering connections are essential for everyone here at Oakland Beach. Our aim is to create an environment where members feel welcome, supported, and valued.
We encourage all residents to engage with one another. Whether you attend a meeting, community event, join a committee, or simply strike up a conversation at the beach, every little interaction helps strengthen our ties.
Together we can create and maintain a welcoming spirit of Oakland Beach, and work together on the issues that are important to our community.
We meet the 2nd Thursday of every month at the First Congregational Church, 715 Oakland Beach Ave. (use front entrance). All members of Oakland Beach community are welcome.
