Environmental Committee

Committee Chair Dawn Tremblay

The goal of the Environmental Committee is to work together with the community, local and state officials, and environmental agencies and organizations, to find and implement solutions to the environmental concerns of the Oakland Beach Community.

We’ll be focusing on several areas including but not limited to beach cleanups, flooding, erosion & invasive species.

Living in a coastal community, flooding and erosion are ongoing concerns, especially with rising waters and stronger storms.

It’s going to take time, patience, consistency, creative solutions, and most importantly, community involvement, to mitigate their impacts.

With your help, we can make a difference!

We’re currently looking for 3-4 volunteers to assist with research, outreach, permits, and organizing and overseeing volunteers and projects.

Help keep our beach and surrounding areas clean, and meet some of your neighbors in the process. Join an Earlier Risers or Save the Bay cleanup
