Revitalization Committee
Committee Chair Elizabeth White
The mission of the Revitalization committee, is to strengthen community bonds, preserve the neighborhood’s historical legacy and enhance its appeal through targeted beautification and revitalization efforts.
Our focus is to maintain and enhance the community’s historical and environmental value, while fostering a vibrant, inclusive, and sustainable future for all residents.
We are a new committee and below are some of the things we’ll be working towards over the next several years.
Community Clean up Campaigns:
Organize regular, volunteer-led cleanups of public spaces and streets to improve the neighborhood’s appearance and promote environmental well-being.
Partner with local organizations:
Collaborate with Warwick’s historical Society, environmental groups, and local businesses to secure funding, expertise and support for revitalization projects
Infrastructure Improvements:
Advocate for improved sidewalks, enhanced street lighting, and the addition of public amenities such as benches and bike racks to increase walkability and ensure community safety.
Green space Development:
Transform vacant lots into community gardens or pocket parks promoting sustainability and providing spaces for recreation and connection.
